Land Legend deserves a mention being a daughter of Landikusic herself a sister to Knocknagree and both being daughters of one of our foundation mares named Tyranny.  Tyranny had twelve foals, six colts and six fillies.  Her colts included the GR1/GR2 winners Zoffany, Wiltshire Boulevard and Rostropovich.  Of the six fillies five have had runners on the track with all five producing multiple winners.  The sixth named Tierra is the dam of a 2YO by American Pharoah and a yearling and foal both by Frankel.  Knocknagree has already produced the winner of the Flower Bowl Stakes (GR2) at Saratoga and Landikusic has had three winners from her three runners todate.  Land Legend had won in the UK and had run well in GR3 company when trained by James Ferguson.  James then took him to Australia and won the valuable Moet and Chandon St. Leger earning Stg. £162,000.  Continuing to race in Australia he was given a break of 343 days before finishing 6th in a GR3 on the 21st September.  A big win was on the cards and he duly obliged in the GR1 James Squire Metropolitan at Randwick on October 5th.  This had a value of Stg. £230,000 for the winner and his career earnings now stand at over Stg. £416,000.

Few broodmares have left a legacy like Tyranny and at Croom House the retained filly Knocknagree now carries the torch.  In addition Knocknagree’s first daughter named River Rock, also at Croom, has had a winner last month from her first foal by Mehmas.
