Over the past few weeks horses we bred have been winning in both Australia and the USA as well as in the UK and at home.  This week we turn to France and to a daughter of Ghand.  Ghand was homebred when sold in Book 1.  She is a daughter of Gallileo and out of one of our foundation mares named Landmark.

Ghand’s daughter, Lemsairbat, did not race as a 2YO and began her racing career in April 2024 at Chantilly in France.  Still a maiden before winning this week she had shown lots of promise being 4th in a listed race in Longchamp in June and more recently 3rd in a maiden at Dieppe in August.

She went to Compiegne on September 25th and was heavily supported as the even money favourite.  She made no mistake on this occasion when winning the valuable Etang Etot Maiden Stakes worth €14,000 to the winner.

Lemsairbat is the third winner out of the mare Ghand unfortunately Ghand’s next foal by Newbay died shortly after birth but she is now in foal to State of Rest with an early cover.
