Evoluir (Cable Bay X Bright New Day) had been placed on four occasions from six runs in 2024 and on each occasion finishing within one length of the winner.  Running on both turf and the all weather his best efforts were on the dirt courses so it was no surprise when he went to Southwell on October 21^st to contest the Southwell Golf Club Handicap.  This was the most valuable race of the evening with a 1^st prize of £5,000.  In a field of twelve runners Evoluir tucked in last for five of the six furlongs but when asked for his effort 1f out put the race to bed in a matter of strides.  He took the lead with 100 yds to go and came home a comfortable winner.

Evoluir is the third winner out of the mare Bright New Day.  Each of the winners have come from the Green Desert line.  Bright New Day has a State of Rest filly foal and was rested in 2024.
