Idea Generation (Dubawi X Knocknagree) has only raced six times – twice as a 2YO when winning, twice as a 3YO when finishing 2nd in a GR3 and twice in July and August this year.  Her winnings are now close to $400,000 and are approaching the price the astute judges, Mike Ryan and Chad Browne, paid for her in the Book 1 at Tattersalls in 2021.

When she contested the Flower Bowl Stakes (GR2) at Saratoga on Saturday she did so as the outsider of Chad Browne’s two horses the favourite being McKulick who had defeated her in October 2023 in the GR3 Waya Stakes at Belmont.   On this occasion Idea Generation turned the tables beating McKulick by 3½ lengths.

Winning the Flower Bowl now qualifies her for the GR1 Breeders Cup filly and mare on the turf.

Idea Generation is the second winner out of the mare Knocknagree who’s daughter produced a first foal winner at Newbury earlier in the week.  Knocknagree has continued with the Galileo/Dubawi cross having a yearling foal by Too Darn Hot, a Newbay colt foal and is back in foal to Too Darn Hot.
