Salt Spray (Kodiac X Taste The Salt) ran once as a 2YO in 2022 and just beaten in a photo finish.  We were told he was good but would need time and he did not appear again until September 16^th.  Heavily backed, even though he was drawn widest of all in stall ten, he disputed the lead from the outset and took in over in the final stretch.  This was a valuable $95,000 race but for Salt Spray it is onwards and upwards from here to race in Black Type company.

Salt Spray is the second produce out of the Born to Sea mare Taste the Salt.  His older sister Cashew is already a multiple winner.  He has a half brother Mehmas colt which will be sold at the Orby Sale in Goffs on September 26^th and a full sister Kodiac filly foal.  Salt Spray realised 285,000 guineas as a yearling at Tattersalls Newmarket.
