Physique (Kingman X Shapes) was the first foal out of the Black Type listed Shapes, herself a daughter of Maskaya.  He had two runs as a 2YO in October 2022 beaten in a photo finish on his debut on October 21^st and making no mistake seven days later for an easy victory at Newmarket.  Getting an official rating of 91 for these endeavours he seemed to lose his way in the five races he ran in 2023.  Bought at the November Horses in Training sale by the Irish trainer Micky Fenton he seemed a real bargain, being placed on three occasions in June and July.  Going to Galway to compete in the feature race of the day, the Ahonoora Premier Handicap he went to post ridden by his now regular jockey Seamie Heffernan.  Both trainer and jockey have learned how to get the best out of him with his trainer stating “he is a horse who likes to get on with things and there is only one way to ride him which Seamie knows”.  In this 7f valuable handicap with €64,900 as a 1^st prize, he led from the start and when challenged at the 1f mark he pulled out the extra needed to be always in command.   We would like to congratulate his trainer and jockey and owners, the Sheehan family from Killarney, for this astute purchase and very valuable racehorse.

After Physique Shapes was barren in her next two years but had a No Nay Never colt foal in 2023 which will be sold at the Orby sale in October.  She is now in foal to Bluepoint
